Powering The Next Phase of Energy Storage

14 April 2026 | 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Makati Shangri-La

As electricity demand accelerates, driven by data centre growth for AI, transport electrification, and reshoring of manufacturing, battery energy storage is emerging as a critical enabler of a resilient, affordable, and flexible power system. This session explores what's next for the battery storage market, highlighting how storage can reinforce the grid, reduce costly transmission and generation buildouts, and add dispatchability to renewable energy. It examines where battery storage fits within the electricity sector's current demand surge, amid rapid innovation across generation, transmission, and inverter-based technologies. Fluence will highlight on grid-forming (GFM) capabilities, which are fast becoming a baseline regulatory and commercial requirement across Asia Pacific and globally. Attendees will gain practical insight into evolving GFM requirements, advanced use cases, revenue stacking and inertia monetisation, and the technical, regulatory, and investment considerations needed to turn compliance into a competitive advantage, while helping policymakers and market participants manage growth, costs, and grid resilience.

Managed by the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), this event titled "Powering The Next Phase of Energy Storage: Grid-Forming Batteries in a High-Demand Power System" is organised together with Fluence Energy (Philippines), and is happening on 14 April 2026 from 9:00AM to 12:00NN at Makati Shangri-La, Makati City.

Kindly note that registration will close on 13 April at 11:00am or when slots are filled.
