About ECCP

European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines

The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) is a bilateral foreign chamber that promotes European interests in the Philippines and vice versa. As a membership organization with over 800 members among its ranks and a strong partnership with the government, the ECCP offers a strong business network that holds great potential in translating to tangible business opportunities. The Chamber strives to make its members’ viewpoints heard on economic and business issues, legislative measures, and administrative regulations.

The ECCP organizes business meetings; seminars with resource speakers from the Philippines, Asia, and Europe, which coordinate the position of the business sector; as well as dialogues with the Philippine government officials on important economic issues affecting the Philippine-European business relations. Moreover, the ECCP enjoys the cooperation of the leading Philippine and European trade and business organizations and maintains close links to the commercial sections of the European embassies and the Delegation of the European Commission in the Philippines.

The ECCP also provides a number of services to guide European businesses get started in the Philippines through business matching activities with clients, suppliers, and partners as well as provide market intelligence and research services for companies in learning more about the Philippine market. As an international trade fair information center, the ECCP also provides extensive services to exhibitors and visitors of European and Asian trade fairs. The Chamber represents some of the leading European fairs in fashion and textiles, consumer goods, electronics, information technologies, industrial goods, building materials, and food. Moreover, the ECCP also provides training programs, events management, and advertising services, among others.

As the Chamber of Choice, the ECCP is committed to be the voice of the European business community in the Philippines.

History

1978

ECCP founded in Manila

The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines was founded in Manila in May with 51 members from a wide range of industries.

1986

The European Commission

The ECCP signs a cooperation agreement with the European Commission.

1990

Cebu City Branch

The ECCP starts representing and participating in International Trade Fairs and opens its first regional branch in Cebu City.

2004

European Business Organizations Worldwide Network

The ECCP officially joins the European Business Organizations Worldwide Network as a founding member.

2013

Davao City Branch

The ECCP opens its second regional branch in Davao City to represent and cater to the Southern Mindanao business community.

2014

EU-ASEAN Business Council

The ECCP joins EU-ASEAN Business Council as a founding member.

2017

Cagayan de Oro Branch

The ECCP opens its third regional branch in Cagayan de Oro to represent and cater to the Northern Mindanao business community.

2018

ECCP at 40

The ECCP celebrates its 40th year as the voice of the European business community in the Philippines.

2019

Clark, Pampanga Branch

The ECCP opens its fourth regional branch in Clark to represent and cater to the Central Luzon business community.

2022

Western Visayas Branch

The ECCP opens its fifth regional branch in Iloilo to represent and cater to the Western Visayas business community.

2023

ECCP celebrates 45 years

The ECCP celebrates 45 years of being a Champion for European-Philippine businesses.
