Together with partners from industry, ECCP and EPBN presented the Philippine platform to the Department of Health - Technical Services team headed by Usec. Gerardo Bayugo. The proposal’s aim is to be the catalyst in generating a whole-of-society approach in combatting the obesity/overweight issue in the Philippines in the following areas: nutrition/consumer education, physical activity, research, reformulation, and government policy.

The proposal was received positively by DOH Usec. Bayugo. It was agreed that the said platform will be presented to the DOH Management Committee in April and Executive Committee in May.
