ECCP Launches Web-based Calls

The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines ECCP said it will make available to its members a free Internet based service that would help cut communication costs.

Henry Schumacher ECCP executive vice president said "WebTalk Directory" —the first of its kind in the country—would allow their 700 member firms to make and receive calls wherever they are through the organization's website.

The WebTalk service is provided by VoiceOne Asia a company offering Voice over Internet Protocol service.

"The ECCP believes that in building business relationships especially in a global scale communication is key.  Through this
partnership with VoiceOne Asia and the integration of the WebTalk Directory to our website we give our members the technological edge they need in the global business scene," Schumacher said.

"This new service will allow our members and other interested companies to cut communication costs in their operations, have a better customer relationship management and become more competitive in their respective industries," he added.

Besides calls WebTalk Directory allows storage of contact information uploading of photos and use of search tags.
