The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) team, headed by its Executive Director, Mr. Florian Gottein, participated in the Battle for Manila Bay: A Year After last 26 January 2020 at the Baseco Beach, Tondo, Manila.

It has been a year since the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Roy A. Cimatu declared the start of the Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program, calling it “Battle for Manila Bay,” a project that prioritizes cleanup, water quality improvement, as well as the resettlement, among others.

Armed with cleaning tools, garbage sacks, and the spirit of volunteerism, the ECCP team participated in the coastal cleanup activity together with other volunteers from various organizations and government agencies.

The ECCP remains committed in its advocacies on waste management, water, and energy efficiency. To read more about the Chamber's position on the aforementioned matters, visit https://www.eccp.com/advocacy-papers/2019/env-water
