With guest speaker Atty. Jose Layug Jr., President of the Developers for Renewable Energy Advancement Inc., the ECCP Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Committee received a presentation on updates in the RE industry in the Philippines, as well as stakeholder collaboration in the sector. Key discussion items covered are the status of the Philippine energy sector, recent policy developments, as well as remaining and emerging challenges. Given this, the committee members were also able to exchange ideas on how the RE sector could be further promoted and how the private sector and other stakeholders could support the Philippine government in achieving its national energy goals.
