The ECCP participated as a resource speaker at the House Committee on Trade and Industry’s initial deliberation on House Bill No.7337. The said bill entitled “An Act Further Amending Republic Act No. 4566 To Promote Competition and Investments in the Construction Contracting Services Industry, and For Other Purposes” was introduced by Rep. Wes Gatchalian. Also present were Philippine Competition Commission, Joint Foreign Chambers, local industry associations among others. The Chamber advocated for a level playing field in the construction industry through the removal of the nationality distinction in the issuance of PCAB licenses.
