JFC Renewable Energy Ad Hoc Group Meeting with DOE Usec. Wimpy Fuentebella | 1 March

The ECCP hosted the Joint Foreign Chambers meeting with Undersecretary Wimpy Fuentebella to discuss its recommendations on the liberalization of the wind, solar, and tidal energy sectors, relative to the provision in the Renewable Energy Act's Implementing Rules and Regulations, which limits foreign ownership to 40% in the said energy sectors. The JFC’s position is that the relaxation of the foreign equity limitations in the renewable energy sector paves the way for increased investments in and competitiveness of the country.
