Makati City, Philippines — On 27 March 2026, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) successfully held its first-ever European Ambassadors’ Cup at the Manila Golf and Country Club in Makati City, bringing together members of the diplomatic corps and key private-sector leaders for a day of sport and camaraderie.

Set against the backdrop of the country’s most prestigious golf venue, the landmark event marked a significant milestone for the ECCP, offering a unique platform for participants to engage beyond formal diplomatic and business settings. Through friendly competition on the golf course, the event not only showcased the athletic skills of the attendees but also strengthened and celebrated the enduring partnerships between the European-Philippine business community. It also featured a networking lunch and awards ceremony that provided an excellent platform for attendees to connect with each other.

The event was attended by H.E. Miguel Utray, Ambassador of Spain to the Philippines; H.E. Christian Halaas Lyster, Norwegian Ambassador to the Philippines; H.E. Karel Hejč, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Philippines; H.E.
