The ECCP is looking for a General Accountant to join the Chamber!
The General Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role supports the organization by handling financial records, reconciliations, and assisting in audits and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports
- Handle general ledger entries, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Monitor and record accounts receivable transactions
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax filings
- Prepare and issue invoices, official receipts, and other billing documents
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing required documentation
- Maintain organized and updated financial records and documentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
- CPA is preferred
- At least 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
