The EU-ASEAN Business Council (EU-ABC), in partnership with the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), hosted the ASEAN-EU Sustainability Summit last 7 May in Cebu in line with the Philippines’ ASEAN Chairship for the year.
The Summit served as a premier regional platform aimed at catalysing bold, cross-sectoral action to advance Southeast Asia’s green and inclusive transition convening around 200 senior leaders from government, business and industry, the diplomatic community, and development institutions.
This flagship event comes at a pivotal time in advancing deeper economic ties, including ongoing efforts toward a Philippines-EU Free Trade Agreement. Strengthening trade relations between the Philippines and the EU can support sustainable economic growth, improve market access, and facilitate investments in green technologies and infrastructure, further reinforcing shared sustainability goals.
