Makati City, Philippines — The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines will hold the 2026 Healthcare Forum on 18 June 2026 at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel in Makati City. Carrying the theme “Putting Patients First in UHC: Bridging the Path from Early Wellness to Specialized and Life-Changing Innovations,” the forum will bring together key stakeholders to discuss the future of healthcare in the Philippines.

As the country advances the implementation of Universal Health Care (UHC), the forum aims to address one of the nation's most pressing healthcare challenges: ensuring a seamless healthcare journey for every Filipino. Building on the momentum of the 2025 Healthcare Forum and ongoing engagement with priority government agencies, the event also seeks to strengthen public-private collaboration by aligning policy, financing, and innovation to support integrated primary, emergency, and tertiary care.

To support this objective, the forum will feature discussions on improving primary and emergency care delivery, strengthening healthcare financing, and expanding patient access to quality healthcare services. Participants can also expect updates on PhilHealth benefit packages, Health Technology Assessment (HTA), and provider payment mechanisms.

Bringing together leaders from across the healthcare industry, the event will feature insights from Dr. Teodoro Herbosa, Secretary of the Department of Health; Dr. Irene Florentino-Fariñas, Director of the Policy and Planning Service at the Food and Drug Administration; Dr. Maria Greta Cortez, Head of Medicine at Boehringer Ingelheim Philippines; Dr. Herdee Luna, Oncology Manager at the Philippine Cancer Society; Dr. Marlon Molano, City Medical Coordinator for Health Education and Promotions of Quezon City; Ms. Araceli S. Lanorio, Board Secretary of the Philippine Alliance of Patient Organizations; and Dr. Valerie Gilbert Ulep, Senior Research Fellow at the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS).

Complementing these discussions is a distinguished panel of experts, including Dr. Diana Edralin, ECCP President, PHAP President, and General Manager of Roche Philippines; Dr. Alfonso G. Nuñez III, Interim Executive Director of the Philippine Cancer Center; Dr. Jacinto Blas V. Mantring III, Chairperson of the Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Council; Dr. Beverly Lorraine Ho, Chief Health Officer of Ayala Healthcare Holdings, Inc.; Mr. Adrian Gino D. Guinto, President and CEO of Generika Drugstore; and Dr. Ma. Christina Macrohon-Valdez, President of the Stroke Society of the Philippines.

The forum will be moderated by Dr. Kenneth Hartigan-Go, Senior Research Fellow and Program Director for Leadership and Innovation at the Ateneo Policy Center, and hosted by Ms. Jacqui Del Castillo, Communication and Organizational Change Manager at Novo Nordisk Philippines.

As the Philippines continues its journey toward achieving Universal Health Care, the ECCP’s upcoming forum underscores the importance of fostering stronger partnerships, enabling innovation, and aligning stakeholders around a shared goal: ensuring that quality, accessible, and responsive healthcare reaches every Filipino.
