Makati City, Philippines – The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) will hold its inaugural 2026 Tax Forum on 13 August 2026 at Dusit Thani Manila, bringing together business leaders, tax professionals, and government representatives to address the evolving tax and regulatory landscape.

Carrying the theme, "From Preparation to Protection: Navigating Tax Compliance in a Changing Landscape," the forum will feature Hon. Charlito Martin "Charlie" Mendoza, Commissioner of the Bureau of Internal Revenue; Atty. Larry M. Barcelo, Deputy Commissioner of the Legal Group at the Bureau of Internal Revenue; Atty. Beverly Milo, Assistant Commissioner of Planning and Management Services at the Bureau of Internal Revenue; and Ms. Mariza R. Uy, Assistant Commissioner of the Assessment Service at the Bureau of Internal Revenue as keynote speakers, who will share insights on emerging tax policies, compliance strategies, and the future of tax administration in the Philippines.

The event will be hosted by Atty. Alden C. Labaguis, Vice Chairperson of the ECCP Tax and Financial Services Committee and the Customs & Logistics Committee.

A key highlight of the forum is a high-level dialogue featuring representatives from the Department of Finance (DOF), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Board of Investments (BOI), and Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA). Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with government officials on practical business concerns, including regulatory compliance, fiscal incentives, audit risks, and the digitalization of tax administration.

Through these discussions, the forum aims to equip businesses with practical guidance on tax compliance and pre-filing preparation while fostering meaningful dialogue between the private sector and government on the challenges and opportunities shaping the Philippine tax landscape.

The 2026 Tax Forum is co-presented by Cygnet. One and supported by Media Partners: iMPACT Magazine, The Manila Times, and The Philippine Business and News.
