Corporate governance-advocate Integrity Initiative has named ING Bank as one of the most ethical and honest firms in the Philippines.
Integrity Initiative is a private sector-led campaign promoting ethical business practices and good corporate governance.
Operating in the Philippines since 1990, ING Bank belongs to the global network of ING that embraces a core of business principles, such as acting with integrity and being socially and environmentally responsible.
“Acting with integrity is at the heart of good business practice. It is essential in keeping the trust of our customers and society and fostering productive relationships in the workplace,” Consuelo Garcia, ING Bank country manager, said.
ING Bank offers a wide range of products such as foreign exchange, derivatives, currency financing, corporate lending, mergers & acquisition, debt capital markets, structured finance, and trade finance transactions. It has arranged the highest number of Philippine capital market issues, and provided advice on the largest and most prominent M&A transactions. The Philippine franchise is a recognized top investment bank and has consistently won awards for banking excellence
It has consistently won awards for banking excellence, including Best Merger and Acquisition (M&A) House in the Philippines by business publication The Asset for the past four consecutive years, and Best Fixed Income House in the Philippines by the Fund Managers Association of the Philippines (FMAP) for 11 consecutive years.
Along with 12 other multinational and local companies, ING Bank was among the first to qualify in the advanced category of the Integrity Validation System, as recognized during the Integrity Initiative Summit last month.
Integrity Initiative is a non-profit organization established by the Makati Business Club (MBC), the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (AmCham), Management Association of the Philippines (MAP), and the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (Finex), in support of the Integrity Initiative campaign. On its fourth year, the Integrity Summit focused on the theme “Building a Nation with Integrity.”
ING Bank is a signatory to the Integrity Pledge, a formal expression of commitment to business ethics and supports a national campaign against corruption. ING Bank is also one of the 200 companies that underwent self-assessment and have embedded integrity and transparency in the conduct of their businesses. The pledge ultimately leads to an international certification program as proof of compliance.
