Sustainability has become fundamental in our economic and day-to-day activities. Over the years, countries from around the world have crafted policies and programs that can help address global environmental issues, particularly climate change and global warming. As a fundamental component supporting the interactions and development of socioeconomic systems, transportation has also been the subject of extensive consideration regarding its sustainability.

With this, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) Visayas Chapters, in partnership with the Embassy of Sweden, is organizing a Sustainable Transportation Forum entitled "European Sustainable Transportation for the Visayas Market: Urban Transportation and Decarbonization" with our keynote speaker, H.E. Annika Thunborg of the Embassy of Sweden, on 1 March 2023, 3 PM-5 PM, to emphasize the importance of sustainability in achieving the region's transportation development goals.

This forum aims to discuss where the Visayas region is today in terms of sustainability efforts and initiatives that have been done to pivot our perception of development in the context of environmental preservation and conservation. Furthermore, this forum seeks innovative options and steps to secure a brighter future for our planet and the human race.
