The Philippines has been rising as a top tourist destination among Europeans, Asians and other countries. Coupled with the fact that the aging population of the world is projected to reach nearly 17% (1.6 billion) by 2050, the Philippines is at a cusp to position itself as a haven for retirement, wellness and medical tourism.
In an effort to provide a picture on the current landscape of the medical tourism industry in Cebu, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP Visayas) organizes a talk on Medical Tourism during its Monthly Business Meetings (MBM) on March 23, 2PM-4PM at Regus Park Centrale in Cebu IT Park.
The resource person is Dr. Clarissa Jane Pe of the Cebu Health and Wellness Council which is in partnership with DTI, DOH, DOT and, local health & wellness institution.
The seminar aims to unveil the current big picture landscape of our local medical tourism sector; what is currently available; the potential services Cebu can offer and what can possibly be done in the near future.
MBM is ECCP’s regular meet up with member companies, partners, stakeholders, clients and the business community on topics that are relevant and beneficial to the ECCP members in particular and the Cebu business community in general.
