The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines together with the EU Philippines Business Network (EPBN) in collaboration with the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Association of the Philippines (PHAP) are organizing a series of forums to help analyze the challenges faced by poor Filipinos in accessing innovative medicines and healthcare. The event will provide a multi-stakeholder approach towards addressing the need to improve access to innovative medicines.
The private sector through the ECCP, EPBN and PHAP continue to support effective policies, programs and trade agreements to induce greater investments into the healthcare sector, which is an essential condition for inclusive growth. It is very unfortunate that medicines and other medical services are not accessible to low income and poverty stricken Filipinos. The public sector aims to improve access to medicines through various strategies, including promoting generic manufacturing. More than ever, the private sector must continue to invest in methods and solutions that will continuously develop effective and affordable medicine.
The Healthcare For All Forum Series will be a venue for the public and private sectors to discuss areas for collaboration to overcome the challenges faced by the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.
Healthcare for All is a breakfast meeting with key stakeholders from the healthcare and economic sectors to share plans, programs, innovative solutions, and best practices hopefully to work for a common action. The event will have a research presentation to highlight the value of innovation and present solutions and strategies to improve access to innovative medicines.
