11Dec
Virtual Events

With the success of the previous webinar about African Swine Fever (ASF) entitled “African Swine Flu: What You Need To Know,” viewers have been provided with information and updates on the global state of the disease and its economic implications on the industry. The African Swine Fever has been around since the 1920s and has inflicted the wildlife of over twenty countries in recent years, with the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) accounting for a multitude of emerging reports escalating in Europe, Asia, and Australia (2020). With no vaccine or cure in sight, companies and organizations worldwide involved in swine production and meat processing sectors have been taking preventive measures to restrain further losses from both business and animal welfare perspectives.

Join us at the second series of this online conference entitled “Delving Deeper into African Swine Fever | ASF Series 2” on 11 December 2020 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM via Zoom. This issue will continue to be discussed further with what some countries have been doing to mitigate the number of cases, what challenges are being faced by industries affected by ASF, and what practices the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) has been advising to the public.
