Bamboo Ecologic Export Philippines, Inc. is a subsidiary of Bamboo Ecologic Corporation, dba RIZOME, a USA company, and global manufacturer of bamboo engineered lumber. It aims to be the Philippines’ premier source of bamboo products in the construction industry, boasting access to extensive bamboo resources in Mindanao, Philippines, and dedicated to planting and nurturing millions more bamboo plants across the Philippines. To ensure the flourishing of this vast bamboo resource, Rizome has assembled a team of proficient experts fully equipped to manage every facet of cultivation. Notably, Rizome’s bamboo plantation shares its terrain with an expansive pineapple plantation, covering numerous hectares. The planting and growing of bamboo promotes a more environmentally friendly approach because of the application of Rizome’s proprietary organic nutrients to ensure strong and fast-growing bamboo poles. Rizome utilizes, at the time of the manual’s creation, the Dendrocalamus asper species, commonly known as Giant bamboo, native to Southeast Asia, in crafting this particular board and panel. The substantial diameter of this bamboo variety provides exceptionally thick material, ensuring the versatility required for diverse applications. Rizome’s target market includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Government Projects like airports, & port terminals. Rizome materials are best for interior building materials be it airport or seaport terminals to reflect the Filipino culture and Philippine-made products. 2. We intend to collaborate with Philippine architects nationwide like Mañosa Group and Royal Pineda to include the products in their Filipino-inspired works. 3. Other high-end hotels and resorts in the country for architectural applications. 4. Consignment to building material outlets like Citihardware, All-Home and Wilcon. At its facility in CM Recto, Zone 9, Cugman, Cagayan de Oro City in Northern Mindanao, Rizome processes bamboo culms into slats and laminated veneer and panels.
