ECCP at Work



Members of the ECCP Automotive Committee held its first quarterly meeting of the year last 4 March 2020. The group received a presentation from Senate Energy Committee Director Atty. Teresa Ira Maris P. Guanzon where she highlighted the salient features and status of Senate Bill No. 1382 or the Electric Vehicles and Charging Stations Act and Senate Bill No. 368 or the Proof-of-Parking Space Act.  

Additionally, the group discussed its positions on a host of issues relevant to the industry including facilitation of trade in the automotive sector, motor vehicle development programs, motor vehicle inspection centers, Euro 4 emission standards, as well as vehicle and road safety. Lastly, the committee discussed some recent developments such as the "energy efficiency rating" requirement for vehicles and the proposed safeguard measures on imported motor vehicles.
