ECCP at the FDA Kapihan Session | 22 March

The ECCP joined the FDA Kapihan Session to receive updates from the Center for Food Regulation Research. In compliance with R.A. 11032 and Citizen’s Charter 2021, the FDA hopes to comply with the following:

On Updates in Licensing Process

• 20 working days processing time for Food Manufacturers; 14 working days processing time for Food Distributors and Traders
• New System Features: 
• Creation of account and password is no longer a requirement
• Inclusion of a pre-assessment step
• Printing of system-generated LTO by client

On Updates in Registration Process: 

• 20 working days processing time (Day 1 starts with date of posting of payment by FDA client)
• Inclusion of pre-assessment step 
• Capability to transfer uploaded documents from previously approved registration application
• Addition of types of amendment not present in the old portal
• Addition of requirements (initial and amendment) in the modified e-portal v.2 as a guide for clients
• Addition of data entries: sweetened beverages, organic, halal, product description 
• Printing of system generated CPR by client
• All CPR remarks shall be complied with the validity of CPR prior to renewal

On Extension of Validity of Authorizations

• LTOs and CPRs expiring from 01 Jan to 30 Jun 2021 
• Additional 4 months validity from the original date of expiration
• Complete application for LTO and CPR renewal shall be filed within the given extension period

• Sales Promotion Permit - 7 working days processing time
• BOC Clearance: 3 working days processing time
