Through its strong relationship with the government, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines is able to support member companies by facilitating market access and working on the creation of a level playing field for both European and Filipino companies alike.
The ECCP's 24 sector committees convene to discuss cross-cutting and specific issues, listing key recommendations on actions needed to support market access for European businesses, and enable long-term economic welfare for the Philippines. Below are our advocacy wins in 2023.

“Having served as ECCP President and Vice President for more than 4 years, I have witnessed the tremendous growth of the Chamber for the last several years, as it waded through a great deal of uncertainty especially at the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, it continued to provide excellent service for its members. It then comes as no surprise that ECCP is often dubbed as the Chamber of Choice.“
“With the lockdown of Metro Manila in mid March, we at SAAB were faced with a situation where we had to close the office and key personnel had to leave Manila and the Philippines. With support from ECCP, I have now managed to address the situation with DTI and DFA. Hopefully I will receive a visa shortly that will allow me to return to Manila and support our local staff and customers in the Philippines despite that foreigners are not allowed to enter the country.“
“Our membership in the ECCP has allowed us to understand the pulse of the European business community in the Philippines. This membership has also enabled ING to connect better with European business concerns, and has given ING Bank better insights on the conduct of European businesses in the Philippines. ECCP provides ING the platform to reinforce ING’s relationship and connectivity with both European and Philippine business partners.“
“The ECCP allowed us to engage with other multinationals in the industry. The ECCP’s value during the pandemic emerged as it swiftly provided relevant business tools: centralized, consistent, and accurate information through newsletters, opportunities for conversations through webinars, and insightful studies. There is a palpable feeling that the ECCP genuinely exists to aid the business community during these times. As a member for 24 years, All Transport Network’s benefits with the ECCP have evolved over the years; it is a testament to how our partnership grows together and remains relevant.“
“We have always regarded the ECCP as an important partner. It is a consistent source of information on policies, business news, and potential alliances with other organizations. During the pandemic, our partnership with them grew from strength to strength, united by a common purpose: providing businesses with accurate and relevant information to help members make informed decisions. We will continue to collaborate with the ECCP in webinars about changing consumer attitudes & behavior, improving customer experience, and the socio-economic forces, sparking conversations with fellow members.“
“The ECCP has provided us with relevant actionable information that made a huge difference in our ability to effectively continue serving our clients here in Northern Mindanao and Mindanao. The pandemic has brought to the fore a unique set of problems and concerns that severely hampered many corporate entities in Mindanao and Region 10. The timely information provided by the ECCP and its members on the many and different aspects of the pandemic has further enabled our law firm to assist our corporate and business clients navigate, respond to, and face, this public health emergency.“
