Dialogue on Port Congestion Issues

28Apr
5th Floor New World Manila Bay Hotel (formerly Hyatt Regency Manila)
Membership Meeting

While government agencies inform business that the port congestion issues have been solved, business is still suffering from high costs in terms of trucking and demurrage / detention of containers, and additionally, business is concerned that problems will re-occur when trade picks up in the second half of the year and the APEC meetings will take place and affect traffic.

We have invited Christian Gonzales of ICTSI / MICT to lead us into the subject; we are inviting other players like truckers’ organizations and shipping lines / agents so that all aspects of the problem can be discussed, recommendations to the private sector and to government be made and constructive solutions be developed.

The dialogue will be followed by cocktails hosted by New World Manila Bay Hotel.
